by each omer to be similarly prepared.
(vi). The cost of the entire scheme (exclusive of the area
coloured green) to be kept in one general account and to
be divided among the whole of the liarine Lot Owners in proportion to the areas of the subdivisions allotted to
then.
(vii). The Government to be treated as a larine Lot Owner in
respect of any property they may possess abutting on Praya East and to be liable only for the cost of such subdivisions as may be allotted to them in accordance
with clauses (v) and (vi).
(viii). The Government to rank as a larine Lot Owner in respect
of any frontage occupied by lots which are not designat-
-ed Marine Lots.
(ix). The cost of the entire scheme (exclusive of the area
coloured green) to be defrayed from a general fund to be constituted by the Larine Lot Owers for the purpose, each larine Lot Owner, prior to the commencement of the work, entering into a written contract with the Cavern- -ment binding himself to take up such subdivision of the general reclamation as may be apportioned by the Govern- -ment. Further, each Marine Lot Owner, by way of a guarantee of his bona fides, to deposit in the Hongkong and Shanghai Bank 25 per centum of the total estimated amount of the contribution to be made by him towards the scheme, such deposit of 25 per centum to be forfeited to the Crown in the event of any Marine Lot Owner subsequent -ly failing to take up his subdivision of the reclama- -tion. The interest accruing on such deposits to be hand- -ed over by Gover:ment to liarine Lot Owners. (x). The following sums, which have already been disbursed by
Government, to be included as part of the cost of the works to be charged to the general fund specified in
(ix):-
